St. Agnes Tennis Club is delighted to announce that it has secured 50,000 in funding from Sport England's Inspired Facilities fund to renovate its Clubhouse (view press release). The project will involve the replacement of the existing Clubhouse with a new facility that will have new changing rooms, toilets and disabled access. A new kitchen will be installed and the larger social area will be able to accommodate table tennis in the evenings.

The Inspired Facilities fund is part of Places People Play, Sport England's Olympic and Paralympic legacy fund which aims to bring the inspiration of the London 2012 Games to every community in England. We are pleased that our facility, by receiving Inspired Facilities funding, will now have the Inspire mark - celebrating the link to the London 2012 Games.

With additional funding secured from the Sita Cornwall Trust and Cory Environmental Trust, work has now commenced on the new build. A working party dismantled the old clubhouse on the last weekend in December ready for foundations to be laid. Disruption will be inevitable until work has been completed but the courts will be open and the lovely caravan already in situ will provide a bit of shelter if needed!
